Casa de la Corteza is conceived as an L-shaped residence that balances openness and privacy through thoughtful spatial design. One wing of the house is dedicated entirely to the social area—an open-plan space that fully unfolds toward the exterior, blurring the boundary between indoor living and the surrounding tropical environment. This gesture not only maximizes natural light and ventilation but creates a strong connection to the outdoor experience.
The private wing houses four bedrooms, subtly tucked away to ensure comfort, quiet, and seclusion. Each room is oriented to capture light and views while maintaining a sense of retreat. The result is a compact yet intentional home where every corner is guided by climate, context, and lifestyle.
